From Escape to Alignment: My Journey to a Life I Love

When I was traveling in Thailand recently, it hit me. Like a wave of truth rushing through my whole body.
I did it, and this is a photo of me writing this from my beachside resort in Koh Samui Thailand for those who like to see a receipt 😉
Not just the goal or the dream, but the entire vision. Six years ago, I left Canada with one clear intention: to create a life I didn’t need a vacation from.
Back then, living in Toronto and grinding through the 9 to 5, the only thing that kept me going was the thought of my next trip. The countdown, the escape, the temporary relief. It felt like that was all I had. Even now, my eyes well up thinking about that version of me. She knew she was meant for something more… she just didn’t know what it was or how she’d ever find it.
Today, I am living a life more magical than that prior version of myself could have ever comprehended. Everyday feels like a vacation, I run a successful business that allows me location freedom to live and travel where ever I want and I LOVE my job.
I still travel. Of course I do, it’s in my soul. But I no longer travel to escape. I travel because I love the world, because my everyday life feels like something I used to dream about.
That doesn’t mean it’s all perfect. There are still challenges, frustrations, moments of doubt, but when your life aligns with your truth, when your energy is high and your joy is real, the hard things don’t knock you down the same way. You recover faster. You stay open to abundance. You rise instead of spiral.
And that’s the part that moves me most. I didn’t stumble into this life. I built it.
Every step, every decision, every scary leap, it brought me closer to what I didn’t even fully know I was creating at the time.
My path has looked different from most. It’s been winding, wild, deeply personal, and it’s mine. Everything I’ve built, I built with intuition and intention and I wouldn’t change a thing.
So if you’ve ever felt like there’s something more out there for you, trust that feeling and start leading with intuition and intention even if it feels scary. Your dream won’t look like mine, and they aren’t meant to, they are your own.
I don’t share this story to brag. I share it because I want you to know that you're not as stuck as you might feel. Your mindset shapes your reality more than you think.
The world is your oyster and where there’s a will, there is always a way.
Let this be the last moment your mindset is making you settle for anything less than a life that you love.
